Mitohondrijska DNK haplogrupa N je na prostoru bivše Jugoslavije najzastupljenija i najrasprostranjenija u odnosu na ostale. Takođe, ova haplogrupa je i prisutna u visokom postotku u čitavoj Evropi, a značajno je zastupljena i na Bliskom istoku i Kavkazu. Zanimljivo je da se za podgrupu N5 smatra da je nastala na prostoru Balkana, Anadolije ili Levanta (možda i Italije) pre 25-30.000 godina.

Ukupno je prikupljeno 188 uzoraka (baze FTDNA, MitoSearch) sa ovih prostora, od čega njih čak 79 pripada ovoj haplogrupi odnosno 42% ispitanih. Gledajući podgrupe, stanje je sledeće:

    Uradila sam genetsko ispitivanje preko Nebula Genomics i određena mi je mitohondrijska haplogrupa H2a2a-a4*.
    Rođena sam u Beogradu, 1960.
    Majka, Naumović Mira, devojačko prezime Jovanović (1936-2010) mi je rođena u Zemunu.
    Njena majka, Jovanović Amalija, devojačko prezime Bubor, (1913-1994) rođena je u Bosni, u Prnjavoru u Mađarskoj koliniji.
    Prababa, Amalija Bubor, devojačko prezime Seleš, (1875-1946) je verovatno rođena u Bukovini pa preseljena u Banat u Ivanovo, gde su naseljeni Mađari Sekelji iz Bukovine https://sr.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%A1%D0%B5%D0%BA%D0%B5%D1%99%D0%B8 , https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sz%C3%A9kelys https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sz%C3%A9kelys_of_Bukovina. Bukovina se nalazi na tromeđi Ukrajine, Rumunije i Moldovije. Sekelji su prethodno u Bukovinu preseljeni iz Transilvanije . Transilvanija se nalazi u Rumuniji. Premeštanje Sekelja iz Transilvanije u Bukovinu je organizovana nakon gubljenja povlastica pod Marijom Terezijom, bune i masakra kojij je izveo baron Josif Sisković sedmog januara 1764.

    Interesantno je da među meni genetski bliskim ljudima po mitohondrijskoj haplogrupi dominiraju Danci i njihovi nordijski susedi.

    moja mtDNA je H4 !
    Moje preklo je poznato samo do praprababe Ekatarine Kerečki koja je rodila ćerku Milosavu 1901 u Surčinu. Otac je Ivan Makan, ostalo takodje nepoznato. Pretrazila sam sve familije Kerečke iz Batajnice, nazalost nisam ni Ekatarinu ni Milosavu našla u crkvenim ili ostalim knjigama pronašla.
    Po vremenu sam saznala, da je moja haplogrupa H4 tako retka, da čak nema podgrupu (iGenea i familytreeDNA sam direkto pitala zašto samo H4). My origins mi izdaje 37% Balkan i Grčku, 6% Sardiniju 6% italijansko poluostrvo, 4% iberijsko poluostrvo, 23% istočnoslovenski, 18% zapadnoistočki i 7% skandinavskog porekla.
    Nazalost sva traznja je do sada bez blizeg matcha.

      Prezime Makan je slovacko tak da treba pogledati slovacke maticne knige. Znam da Makana ima u Backom Petrovcu ale mi se cini da ih je bilo (mozda ih jos ima) po Sremu. Takodje kod imena treba traziti razne varijacije: Miloslava, Milota, Milotka, Mila
